HOTMELT 200L PUMPING SYSTEM

• Operates on a 25 amp single phase 240 volt supply.
• Under normal conditions will be ready to use from cold in 30 minutes.
• Micro processor temperature control with digital indication for each channel.

The Hotmelt 200L is a semi–automatic hot melt unit designed for standard open top 205 litre steel drums. It is used for viscous materials, which require heating to change phase from solid to liquid before it can be pumped. Such materials include; UNIBLOC, Petroleum Jelly and Adhesives, which are typically used for telecommunication cables as water blocking compounds.

This is achieved by the use of a heated platen, metering pump and a delivery hose.
Temperatures are closely controlled by a 4 channel electronic controller. There are two alarms on the control panel indicated by two red led’s. One indicates low level of product in the drum (this is an optional feature) and requires a sensor/switch on the ram unit to be installed. The other indicates below or above working temperature of the component parts, both alarms operate a xenon beacon and sounder.

The sounder can be muted by the use of the appropriate key switch. The xenon beacon will continue to flash until all alarms are clear. The metering pump speed/output is controlled by a speed pot on the control panel. The electronic controller will automatically inhibit the output pump until all components are up to preset temperature.
